Please read this page carefully. By using InformedJD you acknowledge and accept the disclaimers and limitations described below. These notices are incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

1. Information Source and Methodology

All firm profiles, culture scores, salary data, hours information, descriptions, rankings, and analysis on InformedJD are derived from publicly available information including, but not limited to:

  • Firm websites, careers pages, press releases, and published marketing materials
  • NALP forms, ABA reports, and other public regulatory or industry filings
  • News articles, legal trade press, and public commentary
  • Public salary trackers and publicly disclosed compensation announcements
  • Court records and other public-record judicial information
  • Voluntary anonymous user submissions

This information is processed, summarized, and scored by automated systems and editorial review. The results represent opinions and computational analysis, not statements of fact. Individual firm experiences vary widely. We do not engage in private investigation, do not access non-public records, and do not solicit or receive confidential information from any firm.

2. No Affiliation, Endorsement, or Sponsorship

InformedJD is an independent platform. InformedJD and FrankVenture LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, partnered with, or otherwise connected to any law firm, judge, court, judicial chblues, bar association, law school, government agency, public defender office, district attorney office, public interest organization, in-house legal department, recruiter, or any other legal organization, employer, or institution mentioned anywhere on the platform.

The inclusion of any firm, organization, judge, school, employer, or individual on InformedJD does not constitute or imply any relationship, endorsement, approval, recommendation, sponsorship, certification, or business affiliation between that entity and InformedJD or FrankVenture LLC. All trademarks, logos, and brand names referenced on the platform are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and informational purposes under principles of nominative fair use.

3. Verify Before You Rely

You must independently verify any information on InformedJD before relying on it for any decision. This includes, without limitation, salary figures, bonus structures, hours requirements, billable targets, parental leave policies, summer program details, partnership track length, employment statistics, hiring practices, application deadlines, and firm contact information. Information may be:

  • Outdated or superseded by subsequent firm announcements
  • Incomplete or summarized for readability
  • Misclassified by automated processing
  • Inaccurate due to source error or transcription error
  • Contradicted by current firm practice

Always confirm directly with the firm, the firm's official careers page, NALP data, or another authoritative primary source before making any career, financial, or legal decision. Your reliance on any content on InformedJD is at your sole risk.

4. Opinions, Not Facts

Culture scores, fit ratings, work-life balance assessments, mentorship indicators, partner accessibility ratings, and similar characterizations are subjective opinions and computational estimates generated by algorithms and editorial judgment applied to public data. Reasonable people will disagree with these assessments. They are intended to start a conversation, not end one. They are not, and should not be construed as, defamatory, factual claims about any firm or individual.

5. No Legal, Career, Financial, or Professional Advice

Nothing on InformedJD constitutes legal advice, employment advice, career counseling, financial advice, tax advice, or professional advice of any kind. No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of the Service. The Service is for general informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals (career services, mentors, licensed attorneys, financial advisors) before making decisions about your legal career.

6. No Guarantee of Outcomes

We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees about any outcome from using the Service, including but not limited to interview success, callback rates, offer rates, job placement, clerkship placement, career satisfaction, compensation outcomes, or fit with any particular employer. Practice questions, mock interviews, and feedback are training tools, not predictors of actual hiring decisions. Match scores are one input among many and should not drive career decisions on their own.

7. User-Submitted Content and Aggregated Data

Anonymous reviews, interview reports, tips, culture notes, and other user-generated content reflect the personal experiences and opinions of the individual contributors, not InformedJD or FrankVenture LLC. We do not independently verify user submissions and do not adopt, endorse, or ratify them as our own statements. Aggregated statistics (such as offer rates, difficulty ratings, culture vibes, and average scores) are mathematical summaries of user-submitted data and inherit the same limitations: they are derived from unverified, subjective individual reports and may not be representative of any firm's actual practices.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates our Terms of Service, but we are not obligated to monitor or moderate every submission. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230), InformedJD and FrankVenture LLC are not the publisher or speaker of user-submitted content and shall not be treated as such for purposes of any claim arising from such content.

If you believe a user submission contains false or defamatory information about you or your firm, contact legal@informedjd.com with the specific URL and the statement you dispute. We review requests in good faith and may remove or anonymize content at our discretion.

8. Mock Interviews and Practice Tools

Mock interviews, practice scenarios, and feedback are generated by automated systems and are designed for training and skill development. They are not conducted by, nor do they represent the views of, any actual law firm, judge, recruiter, or hiring committee. Performance in a mock interview is not indicative of how any real interviewer would evaluate the same response.

9. Third-Party Links and References

The Service may link to third-party websites, including firm websites, court websites, and public databases. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site. Links are provided for convenience only.

10. Release and Hold Harmless

By using InformedJD, you release FrankVenture LLC, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to your reliance on any content, score, ranking, recommendation, mock interview feedback, or other material on the Service. This release is intended to be as broad as permitted by applicable law.

12. Corrections and Takedown Requests

If you are a representative of a firm or organization mentioned on InformedJD and believe content about your organization is inaccurate, outdated, or improperly attributed, please contact legal@informedjd.com with the specific URL, the disputed statement, and the corrected information with a citation to its public source. We review takedown and correction requests in good faith and typically respond within ten (10) business days.
